Best Asian Bakeries in Rome (Chinese & Japanese Spots)

One of my favourite things to do in life is discovering new food places and of course sharing them with you. While I love savoury food, sweet treats will forever have my heart, especially baked goods and pastries. Rome is such a culturally diverse city, full of flavours and influences from all over the world, which made me curious to see what it has to offer beyond the traditional pasticceria. For this blog post, I explored some of the best Asian bakeries in Rome that brought something new and refreshing to my pastry game. I visited both Chinese and Japanese bakeries, and I must say I can’t wait to share these places with you.

Best Cinemas in Rome for English Movies: Cinema Barberini, Troisi and More

Since it’s autumn in Rome, the weather is getting colder (at least for Italian standards), and I’m slowly getting into my sweater vibes. Think baking cookies, drinking more tea, and of course, watching movies. One of my favourite things to do, alone or with friends, is going to the cinema. There’s just something about stepping into a cozy room for two hours, completely disconnected from the rest of the world, snacks in hand.

In Rome, and in Italy in general, most cinema movies are dubbed into Italian, which makes them quite hard to follow if you’re a tourist, expat, or international student. In this blog post, I’ll tell you all about the cinemas in Rome that show movies in V.O.S. (versione originale). This way you can enjoy the best cinemas in Rome while watching your favourite movies in English.

The Best Places to Study in Rome: Tips from an International Student

I have to admit, for the longest time I was a very loyal study-at-home girl. You could not get me to study in a library or at university, too many distractions if you ask me (a lot of people would say the same about studying at home). But in recent times, things have changed. Maybe it is because I have been studying for a while, but I needed a change of scenery and decided to give studying outside of my comfortable room another chance.

I went out with my books and tested spots in Rome that are perfect for studying, so with delight I can now present my list of the best places to study in Rome. If they managed to convince me to study outside of my home, trust me, they are worth it.

Best Matcha Spots in Rome: Cafés and To-Go Matcha (2026 Guide)

As someone who doesn’t drink coffee, the matcha trend is something I’ve welcomed with open arms. While I used to be a loyal chai latte girl, I have now fully embraced the matcha latte, preferably with coconut milk. In some cities, like Amsterdam, you cannot turn a corner without finding a matcha café, but in Rome it is not quite as common yet. That is why I created this list of the best matcha spots in Rome. Some offer the full experience with a café and sweet treats, while others are more focused on take-away. They are spread across different neighbourhoods of Rome, so you will always have the chance to enjoy a well-deserved matcha latte!

4 Best Cafes in Rome for Reading, Studying and Working (2026 Guide)

Storytime! A couple of years ago I was living in Amsterdam and at the time I was working nearly 50 hours a week. My only free day was Sunday and on those Sundays my favourite ritual was to head to a cozy café with a good book, sink into a couch and order one (or sometimes two, desperate times) slices of cake.

Since moving to Rome I’ve realized that café culture feels very different here. It is much harder to find that same relaxed vibe, the kind of place where you can spend hours unbothered, surrounded by good coffee, homemade cake and a welcoming atmosphere.

So last week I made it my mission to track down those places in Rome, because I was sure they had to exist. Cafés where you don’t feel rushed but instead feel comfortable, inspired and free to read, study or get work done. And I’m happy to say I found them! Here are the 4 best cafés in Rome for reading, studying and working.
