Who am I?
I've always felt like trying to "know yourself" is a bit overrated. We're constantly changing, after all. But if I had to describe myself right now, I'd say I'm basically a grandma at heart.
Think early bedtimes (10 PM is non-negotiable), a deep love for crocheting, baking, nature, and an endless obsession with books. You can add a love for wandering around cities, trying new food, and planning my next adventure, and that sums me up pretty nicely.
I'm Dutch, but Rome has been my home for the past few years. I came here to study Global Humanities at Sapienza University, and somewhere along the way, I lost my heart in this city. Sometimes I've also lost my mind, and my way here, but I always find myself back in this place. I recently graduated, which means I'm officially no longer a student, although I'm sure I'll always feel like one.
I've always loved travelling, but solo travel has a particularly special place in my heart. There's something wonderful about being able to decide exactly where you want to go, what you want to eat, and when you want to sit down in a park with a book for three hours.
Food is my other great love. I am obsessed with discovering tiny new cafés, bakeries, and the occasional fine-dining restaurant during one of my questionable dates.
With a background in creative concept development and trend forecasting, I'm naturally drawn to beautiful things, interesting places, and inspiration hiding in unexpected corners.
You're more than welcome to join me in this little corner of the internet, and I am so excited for the future.
