Laptop-friendly cafés in Pigneto, Rome for studying and remote work
As a blogger and a student currently writing my bachelor thesis, I could probably call myself somewhat of an expert when it comes to laptop-friendly cafés in Rome where you can study, work, or read in peace. I have already written an article about such cafés in Rome, but this time the location is a little more specific, namely one of my favourite neighborhoods in Rome: Pigneto.
To me, this creative neighborhood is a great place to be if you want to get inspired or, of course, productive. In this article, I will tell you all about my three favourite spots for remote work, studying, or reading in Pigneto.
If you would love to discover more cafés like these in the future, make sure to subscribe to my newsletter, as I’m planning on creating similar guides for different neighborhoods in Rome.

Best Matcha Spots in Rome: Cafés and To-Go Matcha (2026 Guide)
As someone who doesn’t drink coffee, the matcha trend is something I’ve welcomed with open arms. While I used to be a loyal chai latte girl, I have now fully embraced the matcha latte, preferably with coconut milk. In some cities, like Amsterdam, you cannot turn a corner without finding a matcha café, but in Rome it is not quite as common yet. That is why I created this list of the best matcha spots in Rome. Some offer the full experience with a café and sweet treats, while others are more focused on take-away. They are spread across different neighbourhoods of Rome, so you will always have the chance to enjoy a well-deserved matcha latte!
4 Best Cafes in Rome for Reading, Studying and Working (2026 Guide)
Storytime! A couple of years ago I was living in Amsterdam and at the time I was working nearly 50 hours a week. My only free day was Sunday and on those Sundays my favourite ritual was to head to a cozy café with a good book, sink into a couch and order one (or sometimes two, desperate times) slices of cake.
Since moving to Rome I’ve realized that café culture feels very different here. It is much harder to find that same relaxed vibe, the kind of place where you can spend hours unbothered, surrounded by good coffee, homemade cake and a welcoming atmosphere.
So last week I made it my mission to track down those places in Rome, because I was sure they had to exist. Cafés where you don’t feel rushed but instead feel comfortable, inspired and free to read, study or get work done. And I’m happy to say I found them! Here are the 4 best cafés in Rome for reading, studying and working.
