My loves, it is April again, the sun is shining here in Rome, and I am ready to attack some terraces with nothing but a desire for cappuccino and a dream.

3 Unique & Fun Cafes in Ostiense, Rome: Perfect for Coffee, Catching Up & Cats
Lately, I have found myself more and more in Ostiense. If you have no idea what I am talking about, Ostiense is an industrial style neighborhood in Rome, which I have written an extensive guide about in a previous blog post. For me, this neighborhood is perfect to plan some dates with friends or go on a walk, because it can be a very inspiring place.
In this blog post, I will share my three favourite cafes in Ostiense, where you can meet up with friends or go alone to study, for example. All three of them are very unique, with one even being a completely vegan cat café. After this article, you will know all these cute cafes in Ostiense, making your trip to the neighborhood complete.
5 Neighborhoods in Rome You Have to Visit (Areas Outside the City Center)
As anyone might have guessed by now, I really, really love Rome. Contrary to what people might think, I actually find myself rarely in the center. I am not a huge fan of crowds, and the historic center of Rome can get, as you can imagine, quite crowded, to say the least.
Thankfully, Rome has some amazing neighborhoods outside the city center that are, if you ask me, absolutely worth a visit. If you want to see Rome from a different perspective, or if you find yourself in the city for a longer period of time, these are the must visit neighborhoods for an experience that goes beyond the standard tourist one.
What to See in the EUR District in Rome: History, Architecture & Surprises
As I have mentioned on my blog before, one of my favourite things about Rome is that every neighbourhood in the city can feel totally different. In my neighbourhood series, I have previously talked about Pigneto, Ostiense, Testaccio, and Monti, and this time I want to focus on the EUR district. Located a little further away from the centre, it is a fascinating place with a dystopian feel to it. To be completely honest, the first time I visited, I kind of got the creeps, but over time I really grew to appreciate it. In this blog post, I will share a bit about the history of the district, the highlights you can’t miss when visiting EUR, and how to get to the area using public transport.
Is Monti worth visiting on your trip to Rome?
A while ago, I was talking to one of my close friends in Rome, and she told me that her favourite neighbourhood in the city was none other than Monti. And maybe it was the fact that I can be introverted, but my first thought was: Why? There are so many people in Monti. I just couldn’t grasp the fact that of all the neighbourhoods in Rome, she would pick Monti as her favourite.
However, over the past few months, I’ve been taking Italian classes in this area (I’m now the proud owner of an A1/A2 Italian certificate), and as a result, I’ve spent a great deal of time in the Monti neighbourhood. And I must admit, I really grew to love this part of Rome.
So, in this blog post, I’ll tell you a little more about this area, how to get there, and some places you simply can’t miss!
