Where to Go Vintage Shopping in Monti, Rome

My loves, as you might know, the sixth of September was my birthday, and I turned the beautiful age of 25. Since me and my blog have the same birthday, it is official now: my blog is also two years old!

Since I am getting older, it is becoming more and more important to me that I wear original pieces, and I try to avoid consuming fast fashion as much as possible. I love apps like Vinted, where you can buy secondhand items, but to me, there is nothing better than strolling along vintage stores, looking for little gems.

Rome, and the Monti neighborhood in particular, has wonderful vintage stores, with both designer and non-designer items. In this article, I will tell you all about my favorite vintage stores in the Monti area of Rome, so when you visit Rome, you know exactly where to go to treat yourself to a wardrobe upgrade.

What is Monti?

Monti is a picturesque, beautiful neighborhood in Rome, close to the Colosseum and the city center. Where to go vintage shopping in Monti?

Pifebo Vintage Shop

Pifebo Vintage Shop is my favourite vintage shop in Rome, and they don’t have one, but two locations. While obviously one is in Monti, the other can be found in Trastevere, another cute neighborhood in Rome, which I will write about soon.

In my personal opinion, some vintage stores can feel very chaotic and disorganized, which for me can make it a bit overwhelming. While Pifebo is colourful and has loads of items, it doesn’t feel disorganized at all.

If you are looking for vintage cowboy boots, Pifebo always has amazing pairs. In fact, I think they have one of the better collections. Pifebo never disappoints me, and I hope you will visit soon!

Humana Vintage

Humana Vintage is the biggest vintage chain in Rome, with four locations in different neighborhoods. The items here are always organized by colour and style, and the staff is super friendly too.

The prices at Humana are good, and it is more accessible than some of the vintage designer stores we will talk about later, where items can cost hundreds of euros. The Humana in Monti is not that big, but literally five minutes away, you can find a second store, so if you are up for it, you can visit both.

King Size Vintage

King Size Vintage is your typical hole-in-the-wall vintage store. The kind where you think it is going to be a quick in and out, but then you realize that the store is a lot bigger than you thought.

The music in King Size can feel a little overwhelming, as well as the store itself, to be honest, but when vintage shopping in Monti, you cannot miss this place. While I think it is filled with little gems, I also think some items are a bit highly priced for what they are.

If you don’t mind slightly higher prices than, for example, Humana, I think it is definitely worth visiting King Size Vintage.

Via del Boschetto

When you are visiting Monti, there is one street in particular filled with vintage stores, and it is called Via del Boschetto. On this street, you will find amazing gems, such as Blue Goose, a vintage designer store with beautiful items, but since it is a designer store, it is also more costly.

A couple of doors down, you can find Pulp Vintage. This store carries mainly designer labels, and the prices are therefore much lower and more affordable. I personally like the branding of this shop, and with their unique and carefully selected items, this is one of my favourite shops in Rome.

The last vintage store I want to mention on Via del Boschetto is Cavalli e Nastri. This shop has other stores in Milan and is a luxury vintage store. The prices reflect the designer items, but even without buying anything, looking at all the beautiful treasures is an experience in itself.

Powder Vintage

Last but not least is Powder Vintage Shop. While this store is technically not in Monti but in Esquilino, I thought to include it here anyway because it is only a five-minute walk from Monti.

Here, they have a great selection of vintage sunglasses, and their jackets are really nice too. It is not the biggest shop, but definitely worth visiting when vintage shopping in Rome.
